Newsletter: Coming Events at Bracknell Drama Club for 2010

Plain-text Body:
Dear Member

The programme of events at the drama club for 2010 has been compiled to give you some idea of what will be happening, though some of the dates still need to be confirmed. Check the website www.bracknelldramaclub.co.uk for all the details.

Our first show in 2010 is the Stand-Up Comedy on Saturday 30th January. This follows the success of the previous two shows during the back end of last year. Comedians are provided by Mirth Control Comedy and are some of the best acts on the comedy circuit. Tickets are only a remarkable £8, the cheapest comedy show in the area. We planned to stage the comedy on the last Saturday of each month, so if you cannot make this show come to one of the next shows and bring some friends, it makes for a great cheap night out!

In Feb/March, we are having a Murder Mystery evening. Join us for an exciting evening of sleuthing, eating and drinking. Reserve a table and watch a series of short scenes in which a murder occurs. Following the interval during which your meal will be served (provided by Dorothy's Fish and Chip shop), your role will then be to track down the criminal using the clues provided, as well as having the opportunity to question the possible suspects. A great interactive evening for the whole family. Booking is essential for this event, as they are always very popular.

In April we propose to do a play with childern and adults. 'Jump for your life' by Ken Whitmore (rights pending).
A young Frederick has a difficult task - to persuade all of us, in the world to jump in the air at a given moment to prevent the world from crashing into pieces. He explains his urgent case to the government and TV broadcasters, but can he overcome the understandable scepticism?

In the autumn we are going to do 'Dealer's Choice' by Patrick Marber.
A restaurant owner Stephen is looking forward to his weekly game of poker, but when one of the regulars drops out and is replaced by a stranger, the stakes are raised and tensions are stretched to breaking point.

In the past couple of years we have built up a crop of new members but we are still looking for more people to join in, so if you want to get involved in any of the projects above then contact me via the website.

Finally please forward this email to any friends that may be interested in coming to see some of our shows and get them to become members on the webiste so they get all the latest information. Tickets can be reserved via the website or by phone on 01344 484694.
