Newsletter: The Last Five Years - On this week at the Drama Club

Plain-text Body:
This week Jam Pot Theatre Productions and Random Production are performing a show call 'The Last Five Years' at the Drama Club.

This is a contemporary song-cycle musical that ingeniously chronicles the five year life of a marriage, from meeting to break-up… or from break-up to meeting, depending on how you look at it. Written by Jason Robert Brown (Parade, Songs For A New World), The Last Five Years is an intensely personal look at the relationship between a writer and an actress told from both points of view.
The story explores a five-year relationship between Jamie Wellerstein, a rising novelist, and Cathy Hyatt, a struggling actress. The show uses a form of storytelling in which Cathy's story is told in reverse chronological order (beginning the show at the end of the marriage), and Jamie's is told in chronological order (starting just after the couple have first met). The characters do not directly interact except for a wedding song in the middle as their timelines intersect.

If you would like tickets the ring 07912 446696 or via the website on contacts@bracknelldramaclub.co.uk. Tickets are £10, concs £8. Show starts 7:30pm.

Look out for more shows on at the Drama club. There is a Stand-Up Comedy night on Saturday 3rd December and on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th December we will be performing the ever popular Murder Mystery evening.
